The Last 10 Days of Ramadan: Days of Salvation, Laylat al-Qadr, and Freedom from Hellfire

Introduction: The Most Powerful Days of the Year

The last 10 days of Ramadan represent the spiritual peak of the holy month. These days are known as the days of salvation and freedom from Hellfire (Najaat), during which Allah grants immense rewards, accepts sincere repentance, and bestows His greatest gift — Laylat al-Qadr, the Night of Decree.

While the first ten days focus on mercy and the second on forgiveness, the final ten days are about eternal success. It is during these blessed nights that destinies are written, sins are erased, and hearts are completely transformed.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ gave special importance to these days, increasing his worship more than at any other time of the year.

The Central Theme: Freedom from Hellfire (Najaat)

One of the greatest blessings of the last Ashra is protection from Jahannam.

During the final ten nights, this freedom reaches its highest level, especially for those who strive sincerely.

Allah says:

“O Allah, You are Most Forgiving, and You love forgiveness, so forgive me.”
(Tirmidhi)

This dua summarizes the essence of the last 10 days of Ramadan.
